To enable the Movies Guide in Windows 7 and be able to see the movie cover art, simply close Media Center, then click on the "Enable Movies Guide" link under Tasks in the MCEGuide client.

Good Morning
After temporarily disbling the enhanced guide, and then re-enabling and re-mapping the guide I found my movie guide has disappeared. The option for enabling the movie guide is stuck on "Enable movie guide" but refuses to change.

I have tried uninstalling the client, disabling and enabling the Enhanced guide, but still no joy.
Any help would be most welcome.

Regards,
Fishey

Hi Fishey,

In order to make use of the Movies Guide, you need to have an active MCEGuide subscription and need to have the Enhanced Guide enabled on the Guide panel.

If you have done this and the option to use the Movies Guide is greyed out, then shut down the MCEGuide client and start it again.

Not my day!!! I can see the Movie Guide now, but apart from a single entry, (John Adams) it is empty.
I am using Enhanced Guide, and my subscription is valid 'till next year.

Hi Fishey,

Our problems with the Enhanced Guide are not 100% resolved yet. Currently the Enhanced guide contains limited genre information, which will cause movies not to show up in the Movies Guide.

We are still working on getting this fixed.

Regards

Franco
